Privacy Policy
Last updated: July 2026
Introduction
RankAbove ("we," "our," or "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our SEO/AEO analysis platform.
Information We Collect
Personal Information
We collect information that you provide directly to us, including:
- Name and email address when you create an account or contact us
- Website URLs that you submit for analysis
- API keys that you provide for enterprise features (encrypted and securely stored)
- Payment information for enterprise subscriptions (processed by secure third-party providers)
Automatically Collected Information
When you use RankAbove, we automatically collect certain information, including:
- Usage data and analytics about how you interact with our platform
- Device information, browser type, and IP address
- Cookies and similar tracking technologies
How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect to:
- Provide, maintain, and improve our SEO/AEO analysis services
- Process your website analyses and generate reports
- Communicate with you about your account, updates, and support
- Detect, prevent, and address technical issues and security threats
- Comply with legal obligations and enforce our terms of service
Data Security
We implement industry-standard security measures to protect your information, including encryption, secure data storage with row-level security, and regular security audits. However, no method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Data Sharing and Disclosure
We do not sell your personal information. We may share your information only in the following circumstances:
- With your consent or at your direction
- With service providers who assist in operating our platform (under strict confidentiality agreements)
- To comply with legal obligations, court orders, or government requests
- To protect our rights, privacy, safety, or property
Google User Data (Search Console & Analytics)
RankAbove can connect to your Google Search Console and Google Analytics 4 accounts through Google OAuth, but only after you explicitly authorize the connection. This section describes how we access, use, store, and share data obtained through Google APIs.
What we access
- Search Console (scope
webmasters.readonly): read-only search-performance data such as clicks, impressions, click-through rate, average position, queries, and pages. - Google Analytics 4 (scope
analytics.readonly): read-only traffic and engagement metrics for the properties you connect. - Basic Google account identity (scopes
openid,userinfo.email,userinfo.profile): your email, name, and profile picture, used only to label the connected account inside the app.
How we use it
We use this data solely to provide the Service: to display your search and analytics performance in your dashboards and reports, and to compute SEO, AEO, and GEO optimization scores and related analytics. We do not use Google user data for advertising, and we do not sell it or transfer it to third parties except as necessary to provide the Service or as required by law.
How we store it
OAuth access and refresh tokens are stored encrypted and are used to keep your dashboards current (including scheduled background refreshes) without asking you to reconnect. Metrics we retrieve are cached in our database under row-level security so that only your organization can access them.
Revoking access and deleting data
- Disconnect at any time from Settings → Integrations, which deactivates the stored authorization so RankAbove stops accessing your Google data.
- Revoke RankAbove's access directly from your Google Account at myaccount.google.com/permissions.
- To request deletion of the Google data and connected-account details we have stored, please contact us; we will delete them within 30 days.
Limited Use
RankAbove's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs to any other app will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

You have the right to:
- Access, update, or delete your personal information
- Opt out of marketing communications
