Troubleshooting analysis errors

When RankAbove can't analyze a page, the analyzer shows a short message with a Learn more link to one of these pages. Each one explains what happened and what to do next.

Access denied (403)

The site refused RankAbove's request with HTTP 403.

Page not found (404)

The URL returned HTTP 404, so there is no page to analyze.

Sign-in required (401)

The page requires a login, and RankAbove only analyzes public pages.

Rate limited (429)

The site answered 429 Too Many Requests.

Site unavailable (server error)

The site returned a 5xx server error.

Page took too long to respond

The page did not finish loading in time.

SSL certificate problem

RankAbove couldn't verify the site's HTTPS certificate.

Connection refused

The host refused the connection.

Domain name not found

The domain name could not be resolved.

Site is blocking RankAbove

Bot protection on the site stopped RankAbove from reading the page.

No readable content

The page loaded, but there was no text to analyze.

Scoring error

RankAbove read the page, but scoring failed on our side.

We couldn't read this page

RankAbove could not read the page for a reason not covered elsewhere.

Monthly analysis limit reached

Your plan's analyses for this month are used up.

Couldn't check your analysis limit

RankAbove couldn't load your plan's limits, so analysis is paused.

Site not registered

The page is on a site your organization hasn't added yet.

Page redirects to another site

The page redirects to a domain that is not one of your sites.

Something went wrong while running the analysis.
